This week’s biggest raise? You guessed it, an AI productivity platform raising $85M. And that’s not the end of it, Austin-based Tesla says that soon enough, 80% of its value will be from humanoid robots. Is that why Elon is getting a $1 trillion pay package? Austin Venture Activity
Augment, an AI productivity platform for logistics, raised $85M in a Series A by Redpoint Ventures with participation from Shopify Ventures, Autotech Ventures, 8VC and others. $110M raised to date.
Sesh, a tobacco-free nicotine pouch brand for adults, raised $40M from 8VC, Post Malone, and Diplo. $53.45M raised to date.
Hello Patient, which is developing AI phone agents for the health care industry, announced it has raised $22.5M in Series A financing led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from 8VC, Bling Capital, Max Ventures, Remus Capital and FirstLook Partners.
Bright Harbor, a disaster operating system for communities, enterprises, and governments, raised $10.04M in a seed round led by Congruent Ventures and Lowercarbon Capital, with participation from Everywhere Ventures, Draft Ventures and others. $12.4M raised to date.
Adapt.com, a cloud-based platform that enables small businesses and independent contractors to engage customers with storefronts, messaging, and scheduling tools, raised $6.37M in a seed round from undisclosed investors. $6.37M raised to date.
NoScrubs, a provider of on-demand laundry pickup and delivery, raised $3.9M in a deal led by Initialized Capital, with participation from Frontier Venture Capital and others. $4M raised to date.

Spring Valley Acquisition III (SVACU) (Dallas), a SPAC, raised $200Min its initial public offering on Nasdaq under the ticker SVACU, selling 20,000,000 units at $10 per unit. $200M raised to date.
ACT-ion (Dallas), a cathode active materials manufacturer for lithium-ion batteries, raised $11.5M in a deal led by BASF Venture Capital, Kyobo Life Insurance, and KB Investment, with participation from others. $11.5M raised to date.

Funding wrap for August 2025: Austin startups secure major funding deals, including four over $100M
Q2 2025 saw significant activity, with local startups raising roughly $1.3 billion—making it Austin’s third-best first half ever. Investors are particularly active in sectors like AI, greentech, biotech, and healthcare.
GSR IV Acquisition (GSRFU), a SPAC that completed its initial public offering, raised $200M in an IPO on Nasdaq under ticker GSRFU, selling 20,000,000 units at $10 each. $200M raised to date.
Peak Rock Capital, an Austin-based middle-market private equity firm, has announced that it has raised a whopping $3B across two funds. One is its $2.5B Fund IV, and the other is its roughly $500M Credit Fund III. The company is the second-largest private equity firm based in Austin, lagging only Vista Equity Partners.
M-Files, an Austin-based workflow automation company, has named Debbie Umbach as chief marketing officer. Umbach most recently served as CMO of Own, which was acquired by Salesforce last year, and she previously held senior marketing leadership roles at Dynatrace Inc. (NYSE: DT) and Bitsight. Last year, M-Files announced a majority recapitalization led by Austin-based private equity firm Haveli Investments, which was founded by former Vista Equity Partners co-founder Brian Sheth.
RazorMetrics, an Austin-based health tech startup which recently came in at No. 18 on Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private firms in the US, appointed Akshay Bhandari as general manager and chief financial officer.
SEC investigators are reportedly questioning current and former employees and investors of the Austin-based real estate company American Ventures LLC and its CEO Shravan Parsi regarding its finances and business dealings, according to sources speaking with The Business Journals.
