Texas Weekly Deal Highlights
April 5, 2026
Happy Easter!
Did you hear that Austin’s city council passed a resolution this week making it easier for residents to run small businesses from their front yards? It means less red tape for people selling artisanal goods, running garden stands, doing small-scale repairs, etc. It’s good to see the spirit of entrepreneurship alive and well in the capital city.
At the other end of the capital spectrum, the city’s venture market had a typically busy week, with deals ranging from a $1.5M seed to a $1.75B defense raise.
